Blackened Pork Chops

These Blackened Pork Chops are bold, smoky, and simple to prep ahead. Season the chops, add lime slices, and freeze so dinner is ready when you are. Cook in a hot skillet for that signature dark crust, then rest a few minutes for juicy, tender pork.
Ingredients
4 pork chops
1 tablespoon blackening seasoning
1–2 teaspoons salt (to taste)
4 lime slices
1 tablespoon oil (for cooking)
Instructions
Pat pork chops dry. Season both sides with blackening seasoning and salt.
For freezer prep: Place pork chops and lime slices in a freezer-safe bag. Label and freeze.
To cook: Thaw overnight in the refrigerator.
Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Add oil.
Cook pork chops 3–4 minutes per side, until a dark crust forms and internal temperature reaches 145°F.
Rest 5 minutes before serving. Squeeze lime over the top.
