Ingredients

4 pork chops


1 tablespoon blackening seasoning


1–2 teaspoons salt (to taste)


4 lime slices


1 tablespoon oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Pat pork chops dry. Season both sides with blackening seasoning and salt.

  2. For freezer prep: Place pork chops and lime slices in a freezer-safe bag. Label and freeze.

  3. To cook: Thaw overnight in the refrigerator.

  4. Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat until very hot. Add oil.

  5. Cook pork chops 3–4 minutes per side, until a dark crust forms and internal temperature reaches 145°F.

  6. Rest 5 minutes before serving. Squeeze lime over the top.
