This freezer-friendly Caesar bacon pasta salad is a cold pasta salad that actually holds up in the freezer — because the romaine gets added after thawing. Creamy, savory, and practical, this is one of those “take it to a friend” meals that feels thoughtful without being fussy. It’s designed to be thawed and eaten cold, making it ideal for make-ahead lunches, meal trains, or low-effort dinners.

Ingredients

2–3 cups cooked shredded chicken (pressure-canned chicken works well)1 cup cooked bacon, chopped (about 8–12 slices)1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese1 cup Caesar dressing (add more after thawing if desired)⅓ cup lemon juice8 oz pasta, cooked and cooled (rotini, penne, or bowties)2–3 cups romaine lettuce, chopped (add after thawing)

Instructions

Cook pasta just to al dente. Drain and cool completely.

In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, chopped bacon, and Parmesan cheese.

Stir in Caesar dressing and lemon juice until evenly coated.

Fold in the cooled pasta and mix well.

Transfer mixture to a freezer-safe container or gallon freezer bag. Label and freeze.
