Homemade Hamburger Buns

These Homemade Hamburger Buns bake up soft, fluffy, and sturdy enough to hold a loaded burger. The dough comes together with pantry basics, rises twice for a pillowy texture, and bakes quickly until golden. Great for cookouts, meal prep, and freezer stocking.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon instant yeast
1/3 cup powdered sugar
3 cups warm water (about 110°F)
2 eggs
1/2 stick unsalted butter, room temperature
6 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Olive oil spray (optional, for finishing)
Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, instant yeast, and powdered sugar. Stir and let sit 5–10 minutes until frothy.
Add eggs and room-temperature butter. Mix until combined.
Add flour gradually, mixing until a soft dough forms and begins pulling away from the sides of the bowl.
Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, 1–2 hours.
Punch down dough and turn onto a floured surface. Divide into 12–14 pieces (about 1.5–2 oz each). Roll into balls and flatten slightly.
Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Cover lightly and let rise 45 minutes.
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Bake 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and lightly mist with olive oil for shine (optional). Cool before slicing.
