Homemade Ranch Powder

A quick homemade ranch seasoning mix made with buttermilk powder and herbs—perfect for dressing, dip, veggies, and popcorn.

This Homemade Ranch Powder is the easiest way to stop buying packets and still get that classic ranch flavor anytime you want it. Mix it once, store it in a jar, and use it for ranch dressing, dips, roasted vegetables, popcorn, and seasoning chicken.

Ingredients

⅓ cup dry buttermilk powder


1 tablespoon garlic powder


1 tablespoon onion powder


2 teaspoons dried parsley


1½ teaspoons dried dill


1–1½ teaspoons dried chives


1 teaspoon fine sea salt


½ teaspoon sugar tarragon


½ teaspoon tarragon


¼ teaspoon cracked black pepper (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Add buttermilk powder, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley, dill, chives, salt, sugar, and black pepper to a bowl.

  2. Whisk until evenly combined.

  3. Pour into an airtight jar and store in a cool, dry place.

  4. To make ranch dressing: Mix 2 tablespoons ranch powder with ½ cup mayonnaise and ½ cup sour cream or plain yogurt. Add a splash of milk or lemon juice to thin if needed.
