Hara Madhu is a very sweet melon from Punjab, India, with white flesh and green-and-cream striped skin. The teardrop-shaped fruits weigh 2–3 pounds and have a shorter shelf life, so plan to use the harvest fairly soon.

Introduced in 1967 by Punjab Agricultural University in Ludhiana, India, this productive variety grows vines 10–12 feet long. Allow room for that growth when deciding where to plant it.
