Lemon Drop Watermelon grows small, sweet melons with crisp flesh. Most fruit is lemon yellow from the skin through the flesh, and at 1–2 pounds, each melon is a useful size for a single serving.

The productive vines bear early, although a small percentage of the fruit may have green skin. This rare variety has a thin rind and flesh that can be eaten right down to it. That thin skin makes it better suited to a home garden or local market than long-distance shipping.
