Prescott Fond Blanc is a French heirloom cantaloupe with salmon-orange flesh, good flavor, and a noticeable fragrance. The flattened, ribbed fruits have a bumpy rind that changes from gray-green to straw-colored as they ripen.

This is a productive variety, averaging four melons per hill, with drought and wilt resistance. Dry weather brings out its best flavor. Harvest when the melon slips from the vine, then let it sit indoors for a few days until the fragrance develops.

The variety was mentioned in the 1860s.
